On a personal note, his son is aged 9 and lives with David's ex-wife. David lives in rented accomodation and until February 2006 did the business on foot in a 2 mile radius from his house in Shard End in Birmingham.

When he passed his test in February, he bought a car from his father, a G reg Rover 214 which he now uses for retail. He started doing Kleeneze so he could see more of his son.

Previously he worked a forklift driver on nights and was not able to see his son very much. He joined Kleeneze in Period 3 2004.
