Lou Sims

My name is Lou Sims, and I am part of The Pole Position Group lead by Andy Stephenson and Claire Branch.

I am disabled on my left side. I have limited use of my left hand and arm, leg and foot and walk with a limp. I am a widow, a mum of a beautiful 4 year old daughter, Jill and work Kleeneze on a full time basis. I have managed to maintain my independence, both financially and practically day to day. Aside from having my daughter, this has been one of my greatest achievements, certainly following my husband’s death. I currently undergo physiotherapy regularly following a spate of tripping up and falling over during the winter of last year. I hasten to add I am teetotal, and those who know me will know I just love my tea!!!

I want to emphasise that Kleeneze is a business for EVERYONE, including those with disabilities . It is an individual’s attitude and determination and persistence which will make the difference to the success of their business. I have a long way to go but I am determined to get there!

My achievements in Kleeneze to date have been these:

I have reached the level of Gold Distributor.

I have achieved a European conference qualification to Rome.

My top pay cheque to date has been £2300.

I was the 2nd top retailer in the Pole Position Group for the year in 2003, retailing in excess of £40K. This was the year in which I was also pregnant hence why it was a very special achievement in more ways than one!

The top Christmas retailer in the Pole Position Group in 2006.

In Gavin Scott’s top 10 in one week in 2006!

My goals for this year are dynamic and exciting and I BELIEVE achievable. This is what is so special about this business. There is no discrimination, no limits placed on you, no one saying you “can’t do this”. Whatever your circumstances, you CAN! I have chosen to try and not be a victim of my challenges, but a victor of them. I can truly say that this business has helped me to do that.
